MICAT 2026 Cutoff – Expected Scores, Merit List and Selection Process

The MICAT 2026 cutoff will be released by MICA Ahmedabad following the announcement of the results. A candidate needs to clear sectional scores and qualify GE and PI rounds. Admission is based on Composite scores of CAT XAT or GMAT along with MICAT and selection round scores.

MICA Ahmedabad will make the MICAT 2026 cutoff public. The qualifying marks for each section are released by the institute but the overall cutoff points are not be made public. After the result of MICAT 2026 MICA will release the merit list for the GE and PI rounds. Test Takers will have to obtain minimum marks to be eligible for the next selection process.

These are merely anticipated ranges that could change depending on how well candidates perform overall and how challenging the test is.

2026 MICAT Merit List

To be on the final merit list candidates must receive at least 3.5 out of 5 points in the group exercise and 4 out of 5 points in the personal interview.

MICAT Selection Process for 2026

The MICAT selection process has three stages - 

  1. Qualifying CAT or XAT or GMAT exam

Candidates must first have valid scores in any one of these exams. While filling out the MICAT form they need to mention their CAT or GMAT score or XAT registration number.

  1. MICA Admission Test
    This is conducted by MICA Ahmedabad and has three parts - 

    • Section A - Psychometric Test which is the qualifying round

    • Section B -  Verbal Ability, Quantitative Ability and DI, General Awareness, Divergent and Convergent Thinking

    • Section C -  Descriptive Test

  2. Group Exercise and Personal Interview
    The shortlisted candidates attend these rounds to show their communication, creativity and problem solving skills.

FAQs

MICA Ahmedabad releases the MICAT cutoff every year.

No MICA only declares sectional qualifying marks not an overall cutoff.

Around 8.5–12 in Divergent and Convergent Thinking, 6.5–7.5 in Quantitative Ability, 8–10 in Verbal Ability and 5.5–6.5 in General Awareness.

The merit list of MICAT is based on candidates’ performance in CAT or XAT or GMAT along with MICAT and GE and PI rounds.

The shortlisted candidates will be called for group exercise round and personal interview rounds after the MICA written result.

You need at least 3.5 out of 5 in GE and at least 4 out of 5 marks in personal interview to qualify for MICA PGDM program.
