MDI Gurgaon Hosts 'MDI Megaminds' 2025 to Promote Startup Innovation and Entrepreneurship

The Management Development Institute (MDI) Gurgaon has successfully organised its signature startup pitch event MDI Megaminds on Sunday, June 15 2025. The event took place between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. at the Lakshya Building within the MDI Gurgaon campus.

A Platform for Startups, Investors and Innovators

MDI Megaminds has also emerged as an influential platform where budding new-generation entrepreneurs meet seasoned investors, startup professionals and business advisors. The event included live pitching sessions, networking and interactive sessions around startup development and innovation.

In the last five years, MDI Megaminds has funded over 150 startups and has been instrumental in networking them into India's growing startup ecosystem. The 2025 edition kept that tradition alive by networking with promising startup founders, angel investors and students willing to learn from actual startup experiences.

Startups That Pitched at the Event

Four distinct startups presented at the event this year:

  • Interactive Recruitments – An AI-driven global edtech marketplace connecting Tier 2/3 city students to education and career prospects.

  • iRasus – A business providing cutting-edge battery analytics for the electric mobility market.

  • TIRTH.com –It is a one of its kind spiritual travel platform for the people in India which is AI-driven.  

  • VIKARA Studios – An early-stage gaming startup developing culturally inspired 1v1 mobile games from Indian mythology such as Vikram-Betaal.

Fireside Chat: Product First or Problem First?

One of the best sessions of the evening was a Fireside Chat on the topic: Are startups building real problem-solving products or are they simply making things they'd like to have?

Speakers for the discussion were:

  • Mr Chitranshu Mahant – Co-founder, Primebook

  • Mr Sameer Mathur – Roinet Solutions Managing Director & CEO

Event Open to All

The event was open to all kinds of attendees like startups seeking funding, investors seeking new ideas and students and professionals with an interest in entrepreneurship and innovation.

MDI Megaminds 2025 hosted a panel of renowned speakers and jurors from business, education and investment. The panel consisted of:

Leadership Remarks

Addressing the conference Prof. Leena Ajit Kaushal the Chairperson of MDI Accelcube (MAC) underlined the need for innovative ideas and teamwork. She explained that the objective of Megaminds is to create a space where change-makers and innovators meet and inspire one another.

Prof. Ruchi Agarwal Faculty in-charge of MDI Accelcube (MAC) added a new dimension to the event which is the Fireside Chat and informed that the institute has started working towards establishing a full-fledged Acceleration and Incubation Centre for early-stage startups.
