MAH MBA CET Exam Day Guidelines 2026 - Key Instructions, Documents, Dress Code and do's & Don'ts Checklist

Before appearing for the MAH MBA CET 2026 exam students should familiarise themselves with critical exam details such as which documents to carry, exam shift timing, the biometric process, dress code etc.

The first session of the MAH MBA CET 2026 test is scheduled between 6 to 8 April 2026 and the second session is scheduled for 9 May 2026. There will be two shifts for the exam - 

  • The first shift will take place between 9 AM to 11:30 AM

  • The second shift will take place between 2 PM to 4:30 PM. 

In order to have a smooth and stress-free experience the candidates will have to follow the guidelines for the exam day, carry the required documents and be aware of the important dos and don'ts.

Documents Required for MH CET MBA Exam 2026

Bring the following documents to the test centre otherwise you won't be able to take the test without these documents.

  • Printed the MAH MBA CET  2026 admit card with a passport-size photograph pasted on it similar to the photograph used during online registration.

  • Any of the following documents such as a driver's license, Aadhaar card, passport, PAN card or voter's ID can serve as legitimate proof of original photo identification.

  • PwD Certificate must be presented by PwD candidates only who require a scribe or extra time.

  • Name change documents if applicable. 

  • Ball-Point Pen for signing the attendance sheet.

  • Any other document mentioned in the MAH MBA CET Admit Card 2026.

Note - Driver's license or ration cards are not recognised forms of identification.

MAH MBA CET Exam Day Instructions 2026

The CET cell provides exam day instructions to all the candidates in an official manner via the admit card. Here is the entire list of instructions for the MAH MBA CET 2026 exam day  - 

  • Reach Before Gate Closure Time - You must reach the exam centre before the gate closure time mentioned on your 2026 admit card. If you arrive at the exam centre after the gate closure time you will not be allowed to attend the exam under any circumstances.

  • Online Exam Login Details - The exam will be conducted online. You must enter your Roll Number as your Username and your Date of Birth as your Password. The details of your Roll Number and Date of Birth are mentioned on your Admit Card. Make sure your details appear correctly on the screen after you log in.

  • Biometric Verification - Your left fingerprint, right fingerprint and live photo will be taken at the exam centre for verification with your registration photo. If any objection is raised during the biometric verification process your exam will be cancelled. To avoid any inconvenience follow these things -

    • Ink, paint or mehndi should not be present on your fingers. It should be completely removed before attending the exam

    • Your fingers should be clean and dry before biometric verification

    • Caps, mufflers or any covering on your head or face are not permitted during biometric verification

  • Admit Card and Photo ID - Carry your Admit Card with original photo ID proof by downloading it from the official website cetcell.mahacet.org. Your name should match with the photo ID proof. Female candidates who have changed their names after marriage should carry a Gazette notification or marriage certificate or affidavit.

  • Scribe and Disability Certificate - All the formalities must be completed properly for the disability certificate of the candidates who wish to take a scribe.

  • Ball Point Pen - Carry a pen with you to sign the attendance sheet in front of the invigilator.

  • No Date or Venue Changes - No date, session, centre or venue changes will be permitted under any circumstances.

  • Technical Issues - If any technical problem occurs during the exam all efforts will be made to sort out the problem which may include shifting of the candidate or a delay in the test. The decision for a re-exam is at the sole discretion of the examination body. The applicant is not entitled to a retest.

  • Unfair Means - If any candidate is found to have adopted unfair means or malpractice in the exams then he or she is liable to be disqualified immediately. This includes seeking help from any other candidate in the exams. The exams will be conducted in front of CCTV cameras.

  • Incorrect Information - If incorrect information is provided or the process is violated at any stage of admission, the candidate is liable to be disqualified for the current and future admission processes in the State CET Cell.

MAH MBA CET 2026 Exam Day Tips

Here are a few simple tips to follow on the day of the exam to perform your best - 

  • Try to visit the exam centre a day before the exam to get familiar with the location to avoid last-minute issues.

  • Keep all the required documents ready in a folder the night before the exam.

  • Plan your route in advance and reach the exam centre at least 30-45 minutes before the actual reporting time.

  • A good night’s sleep will definitely help you stay focused during the exam.

  • Avoid trying to learn new things at the last minute. Stick to what you already know.

  • Time management is the most important thing to keep in mind and to follow during the exam. Avoid giving too much time to a single question in the MHT CET MBA exam.

  • Have a light breakfast or early lunch before the exam.

  • Try to attempt the questions you are sure about first. Be composed during the test.

  • Follow the instructions provided by the invigilator during the exam.

MAH MBA CET 2026 - Exam Day Dos and Don'ts

Exam Day Do's

  • The candidates should reach the exam centre at least 30 minutes before the reporting time.

  • Bring a valid original photo ID and your admission card.

  • Candidates should wear simple clothes on the exam day.

  • The instructions on the admit card should be read by the candidates.

  • Examinees should maintain composure. They should attempt the simple questions first.

Exam Day Don’ts 

  • Smartwatches, cell phones, calculators and other electronic devices should not be carried by the candidates.

  • Avoid arriving late to the exam site. Late entry is strictly not allowed.

  • The candidates should not talk to anyone inside the exam hall.

  • Candidates should not resort to any sort of unfair means. They will not be allowed to continue if they do.

  • The candidates should not panic if they face any problem with the exam system. They should calm down and report the problem to the invigilator.

MAH MBA CET 2026 Exam Dress Code

The CET Cell has not formally established a dress code for candidates to adhere to on exam day. However, it is recommended that candidates dress in simple clothes that are comfortable to wear. Excessive accessories, jewellery or clothes with too many pockets are not recommended as this may cause undue delays for the candidates.

FAQs

There is no set dress code for test-takers of the MAH MBA CET 2026. Candidates should dress comfortably, neatly, and cleanly. Candidates should wear neat, clean and comfortable clothing. They should avoid wearing bulky items like jewellery or accessories that could lead to security delays. They should also avoid wearing clothing with multiple pockets.

Candidates will require their admit card along with a valid government photo identification document. This can be a Pan Card, Driver’s License, Aadhaar Card, Voter ID Card or Passport. Candidates who are differently-abled need to carry a PwD Certificate along with their MAH MBA CET admit card. The name written in the admit card and the photo ID proof should be the same.

Use of calculators is the MAH MBA CET examination hall including wristwatch calculators is not permitted at all. Using any such device will be treated as unfair means and may lead to disqualification.

The following items are strictly prohibited inside the Maharashtra CET MBA examination room - mobiles, pagers, other electronic devices, smartwatches, calculators, books and study materials. Any candidate carrying any prohibited items shall be debarred from the examination process.

Changes in the date, shift, centre or venue of the MHT CET MBA exam are not allowed at any point during the exam process. All details on your admit card should be verified before downloading it.
