IIM Shillong Announces its Seventh Executive MBA Program for Professionals, Offering Flexible Learning Options

Eligibility for the PGPWE includes a bachelor degree with a minimum of 50 percent marks or 45 percent for SC, ST or differently abled candidates and a minimum of three years of full time post degree professional experience as of April 30, 2026. Candidates who have obtained the 50th percentile or higher on the CAT or a GMAT score of 500 or greater will be exempt from the WEMAT. Only CAT scores from 2023 and 2024 will be evaluated and GMAT scores from the prior five years. All candidates will also undergo a personal interview process, which starts on January 24-25, 2026.
Tuition for the two year executive MBA is ₹1270000. Participants will be able to choose from over 60 electives in finance, marketing, operations, human resources, information systems, strategy and liberal studies among others, as their area of specialisation. This range can enable professionals to tailor their education path to meet personal employment goals. The program meets contemporary industry needs, providing students with leadership abilities to handle changing corporate objectives, she added.
The framework of the program comprising online study, campus involvement and worldwide exposure, according to Sitanshu Sekhar Das, Chairperson of the Executive PGP assures a comprehensive and enriching experience. He stated that real-life case studies and workshops provide participants with practical tools for dealing with today's business difficulties. Director I/C Naliniprava Tripathy stated that the institute is committed to flexible executive education and the Executive MBA offers an opportunity for working people to further their education while balancing personal and professional duties. The PGPWE aligns with the National Education Policy 2020's suggestions for flexible learning, highlighting IIM Shillong's continued commitment to equipping working people for business leadership roles.
