Leading Indian Business Schools in the FT Global MBA 2025 Rankings

1. Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore

IIM Bangalore has moved to position 27th in FT Global MBA Rankings 2025 from 31st in 2024 and 39th in 2023. It remains a top Indian B-school in the world. Its total program fee is approximately ₹28.00 lakhs and it provides an excellent average package of ₹34.88 lakhs per year with strong placement records and international standing.

2. Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad

IIM Ahmedabad has also made consistent gains by rising to rank 31st in 2025 from 41st in 2024 and 51st in 2023. The institute charges ₹26.50 lakhs as fees and offers a remarkable average salary of ₹34.50 lakhs per year. Its consistent improvement highlights its robust academic structure and career guidance.

3. Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta 

IIM Calcutta is placed at rank 57th in 2025 slightly lower than its position at 47 in 2024 and 52 in 2023. Though the ranking fluctuated it still remains among India's top three IIMs. The program is approximately ₹27.00 lakhs and the graduating students are offered an average package of ₹35.07 lakhs per year which shows a high return on investment.

4. Indian School of Business (ISB)

Indian School of Business (ISB) occupies the 61st position in 2025 from 67th in 2024 and 76th in 2023. Famous for its one-year MBA program, ISB is one of the best known Indian business school globally. The cost is a bit high at ₹45.12 lakhs but its average salary package of ₹32.05 lakhs per year indicates its high placement worth and international experience.

5. Indian Institute of Management, Indore 

IIM Indore stands at 69th in 2025 having entered the rankings in recent years after appearing at 89th in 2023. Having a program fee of ₹21.17 lakhs and an average salary of ₹25.68 lakhs per year it is making its presence felt and is emerging as a good performer among the newer IIMs globally.

6. Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow 

IIM Lucknow has strong gains in the rankings now at 71st in 2025 from 85th in 2024 and 90th in 2023. With fees of approximately ₹20.75 lakhs and average salary of ₹30.00 lakhs per annum the institute is notable for having a high ROI as well as consistent increase in worldwide recognition.

7. Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode 

IIM Kozhikode made its debut in the FT Global MBA Rankings in 2025 and ranked 86th. With a rather reasonable fee structure of ₹23.50 lakhs and a competitive average salary of ₹28.05 lakhs annually, it has set off on a strong note and promises to grow even larger globally.

8. Xavier Labour Relations Institute, Jamshedpur

XLRI, Jamshedpur has climbed to rank 83rd in 2025 from rank 99th in 2024. Even though it did not feature in 2023, XLRI has made an outstanding improvement. The fee for the program is ₹30.60 lakhs and the average salary is ₹29.89 lakhs per year making it a very strong private B-school in India.
