Women's Executive Leadership Program Launched by BITSoM

The program, which will commence in November 2025 is designed for experienced female professionals as they make the strategic transition from managerial to leadership roles.

Drawing on the success of BITSoM's initial executive education program in supply chain analytics and retail, this new program will address the opportunities and peculiar challenges that women face in the current business world. The curriculum, grounded in self-discovery and intentional skill-building is designed to give participants the confidence and competence necessary to move their careers forward and into leadership roles.

The comprehensive syllabus includes 100 live interactive sessions, 1.5 hours long, that involve case studies, role plays, lectures and practical exercises. Strategic leadership, advanced communication, creative thinking, negotiation and leveraging the latest technologies such as AI and ML are addressed under core modules. To ensure balance between scholarly rigour and practical applicability the program employs a hybrid faculty strategy involving the collaboration of eminent professors from BITSoM and other top Indian B-Schools with experienced industry leaders.

This course is unique because of its unique mix of components designed to have the most impact possible. A single capstone project offering one-on-one coaching and mentorship to solve real-world problems would be valuable to students. The course will be designed and group mentorship will be delivered through an Industry Advisory Council consisting of prominent CEOs and management directors.

Apart from a one-of-a-kind 3-day outbound experiential program that encourages extensive reflection, peer-to-peer learning and experiential leadership growth, participants will be involved in two immersive in-person campus experiences at BITSoM's Mumbai campus.

BITSoM is committed to building a new class of visionary and courageous women leaders who are poised to break barriers and lead with intent said Dr. Saravanan Kesavan, dean of BITSoM.  The program was specifically designed for mid-to-senior professionals interested in deepening their impact and taking on more responsibility, he added. He asserted that it provided them with the knowledge, perspective and confidence they required to address tricky challenges, drive change and build more progressive and inclusive businesses. He believed their leadership would play a key role in helping create a fair and forward-thinking future for all sectors.
