The program is aimed at practicing individuals who wish to enhance their managerial competences and leadership abilities while remaining on the job. EMBA is conceived in terms of a blended learning approach that meshes the convenience of online delivery with the depth of campus immersion enabling participants to balance work commitments with rigorous academic engagement.

The program is taught directly by IIM Udaipur faculty members without intermediaries so as to provide a fluid learning process via live interactive classes, Q&A workshops and experiential modules like business simulations, case studies and workshops. They will also enjoy peer-to-peer idea sharing, incubation assistance and network exposure with C-level executives. The program totals 1250 contact hours and consists of business and functional foundations, managerial toolkits, electives and credit-based waivers. Two week long on campus courses reinforce learning through interaction and instructor involvement. Consistent with the National Education Policy the curriculum offers multiple exit and re-entry choices, among them a one year PG Diploma program that enables students to complete the course in two to four years and confers IIM Udaipur alumni status upon graduation.

In order to be a contender for EMBA at IIM Udaipur, a candidate must have a minimum of 10+2 years of schooling and a bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in any stream with a minimum of 50 percent marks or similar CGPA (45 percent for SC, ST and PwD applicants). A bachelor's degree should have a minimum study period of three years after completing higher secondary. Apart from this, as of May 20, 2026 the candidates should also possess at least 36 months of full-time paid experience after graduation. For admission, they should present a valid test score GMAT (with the Focus Edition), GRE (not more than five years old), CAT (2021 or later) or the IIMU Test administered by the institute.
