TG ICET is a state-level MBA entrance exam and it is conducted to get admissions into MBA and other management courses in Telangana. Every year the conducting authority urges the candidates to check the eligibility criteria before filling out the form. Candidates are not permitted to take the entrance exam if they do not meet the TG ICET eligibility requirements. Even if they qualify the entrance exam, their seats can still be cancelled in the future.

The TS ICET 2026 eligibility criteria are mainly based on educational qualifications, age and domicile conditions as are specified by Mahatma Gandhi University.

Educational Qualification for TG ICET 2026

Students applying for admission to the MBA program via TG ICET need to fulfil the given requirements - 

  • The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree of a minimum of three years' duration.

  • Oriental Languages degrees are not recognised.

  • The minimum required marks must be 50 per cent for the general category.

  • Candidates of reserved categories are required to have 45 per cent marks.

  • Students who are in their last year of bachelor's may also sit for the TG ICET 2026.

  • The degrees earned from the three-year and four-year courses are recognised except for Oriental Languages.

  • The minimum qualifying scores must be met for final admission.

  • All applicants must be Indian nationals.

  • The applicants must comply with the criteria of TG ICET exam which is “local or non-local status as prescribed in the Telangana State Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admissions) Order.

  • Foreigners are also eligible to apply but they must satisfy the eligibility criteria set by the institution.

TG ICET 2026 Qualifying Marks and Admission Process 

  • The expected qualifying cutoff for the TS ICET 2026 exam will be 25 percent of the total marks.

  • SC and ST candidates are exempt from the minimum qualifying marks.

  • Specifically, it should be noted that even if one qualifies in the TG ICET exam their admission is still not guaranteed.

  • Apply according to the official notification for admission.

  • Fulfil all eligibility requirements set by the concerned authority for part-time, evening and distance learning courses.
