The cohort for the current year comprises students from 22 states in India with heavy representation from Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat and significant improvement in numbers of participation from Northeast and Southern India. The induction program for this year was founded on 'Parivartan' a change paradigm that fosters personal and professional growth. The system, which relies on two foundational pillars Nurturing Potential (NP) and the Student Progression Index (SPI) gives students the tools to manage their development from the beginning. As part of the process students completed psychometric tests to learn their strengths and areas for improvement. These are the basis for every student's individualised Parivartan Action Plan which guides them in working on essential competencies correlated with their long-term objectives. The induction also included modules on social media behaviour reflective learning through carefully curated reading materials, team-building activity and yoga.

Dr. Raman Ramachandran the Director of K J Somaiya Institute of Management was thrilled to welcome a diverse and talented group from across the nation. He pointed out that this year's induction shaped by the institute's revolutionary framework 'Parivartan', showcased their firm commitment to the mission of "Transforming, Together".  He stressed that this was not just a topic; it was a common objective that inspired the institute to build people into accountable and purposeful leaders who could bring about changes. Dr Ramachandran stressed that the value of a well-planned journey of discovery and learning through experience and mentorship was to lead students toward an entire lifetime of purposeful leadership, not only their initial career. He also stated that it was especially rewarding to observe greater regional, academic and gender diversity in the incoming class and he welcomed the opportunity to be a part of their paths as they developed led and impacted the long term.
