They didn't go about remaking traditional education online. They went about reinventing it, said a JIIT spokeswoman. It is not a transition. This is a transformation.

Although the programs are entirely online, Manu Bhaskar Gaur who is the CEO of JIIT's Digital Learning and a Harvard, Berkeley and INSEAD alumnus stressed that they want to foster a strong feeling of community and teamwork.

Learning is not only about content provision it's about connection, he explained.  That's why we've included in person meetups each year, peer communities and live mentorship so our learners feel connected to something more, regardless of where they are.
