Highlights Of IPMAT Rohtak Exam Syllabus
The IPMAT exam is conducted nationwide by IIM Rohtak for it's Integrated Management Program.Â
The exam is for admit applicants into the five-year IPM program of IIM Rohtak. The syllabus of the IPMAT Rohtak exam contains questions from three major sections: Quantitative Ability, Logical Reasoning and Verbal Ability.Â
Syllabus Of Quantitative Ability
This section evaluates how good the candidate is with numbers. The mathematical and calculation accuracy is tested. It includes topics such as arithmetic (simple & compound interest, profit and loss), algebra (equations and inequalities) and geometry (angles, circles, areas, and volumes). In addition, it includes questions based on data interpretation such as graphing, table and chart analysis. This ability checks the accuracy, problem-solving ability and speed of the candidates.Â
Syllabus Of Logical Reasoning
The Logical Reasoning section tests the candidate's critical and logical thinking ability. Logical Reasoning includes questions related to the listed topics: coding and decoding, arrangements, patterns, cube puzzles, blood relations and series & dice. Candidates may also be asked questions on syllogisms, blood relationships and logic puzzles.
IPMAT Rohtak 2025 Syllabus: Verbal Ability
The verbal ability and reading comprehension section of IPMAT exams tests an aspirant's knowledge of the English language. The verbal ability portion evaluates the ability of candidates in vocabulary, grammar, verbal ability and comprehension.
In vocabulary, students must understand or know synonyms, antonyms, idioms, phrases and meanings of foreign terms. There are also questions on noun & pronoun errors and prepositions & conjunctions.

The IPMAT question paper tests the academic excellence of a student in three sections: Verbal Ability, Quantitative Ability and Logical Reasoning. To prepare for the IPMAT Rohtak, candidates should read NCERT textbooks to get the basics of Quantitative Ability. Verbal ability can be improved by reading newspapers and books. Online platforms include practice tests and video lectures. Practice with the previous year's papers and mock tests from many websites to improve time management and exam familiarity.
In the Integrated management program (IPM) exam, a total of 120 questions are asked. In each section, there are 40 questions asked and each correct answer gives 4 marks and the incorrect answer incurs a -1 mark penalty.
IIM Rohtak's IPMAT exam is only held once a year, in May or June. The date may differ according to the academic year and IIM Rohtak's announcement. The application process for the exam usually starts in February or March and admit cards are issued a few days before the exam. The official IIM Rohtak website should be frequently visited for any updates concerning exam schedules, the last dates for registrations and the rest process.
The three components of the IPMAT exam question paper are logical thinking, verbal ability, and quantitative ability. Each section has a time limit, which the candidates have to complete before proceeding to the next. It is a two-hour online exam. For each question, 4 marks are provided for every correct answer and incorrect answers incur -1 mark. It tests the mathematical, verbal and logical reasoning abilities of the candidates.
