Mr. Neogi presented five powerful stories in his presentation all from his professional and personal life. The stories highlighted lessons of leadership, humility and remaining focused on one's purpose. He stressed that respect was a function of character, not position and that one had to re-establish credibility in each new job. One of the chief messages that he presented was the '24–48 Principle' which argues that policies need to be developed out of seeing hard problems and not out of comfort.

He concluded by emphasising that leadership entails visibility, dependability and authenticity, not merely promises. He also emphasised an increase in research and faculty with five papers being published in high-quality FT50 journals.

The institute has also made a pioneering move by employing a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model in expanding its infrastructure making it the first IIM to do so.

Speaking to the graduating students, Prof. Banerjee urged them to keep learning, take risks, have sound ethics and work towards becoming job creators. He reminded them that IIM Udaipur would always remain their home and asked them to stay engaged as alumni.
