Central to this concept is the I Hub Foundation a Section 8 company that is the incubation center of the institute.
The hub gives students, local company owners and startups access to industry networks, funding and mentorship. It has already assisted 28 start ups in edtech, social impact and digital services. In addition to that the Idh hub also expand its lens towards rural and tribal entrepreneurs thereby driving the growth aplenty in the region.
IIM Sambalpur is also working on another project 'Subhadra Yojana' in collaboration with Odisha Women and Child Development Ministry.
The initiative teaches women entrepreneurs digital and financial literacy, business planning and marketing skills.The institution is supporting the growth of self reliant micro businesses through mentorship of women owned firms.
On the education side, IIM Sambalpur has forged international ties with the finest universities and institutes globally.
These memorandums of understanding provide for faculty and student exchanges, collaborative research and global classroom learning all of which enhance exposure and augment international thought.
Additionally, the institute places a high value on experiential learning by combining academic training with community based projects, pitch sessions and boot camps. This approach seeks to develop job creators and change makers which will enhance IIM Sambalpur's status as a driver of innovation and social change.
