IIM Raipur MBA Batch 2025–27: Diverse Talent from IITs, NITs and 21 States Enters the Class

Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Raipur officially welcomed the new batch of MBA 2025–27 consisting of 353 students belonging to 21 states and 3 union territories. The current batch this year is a diverse blend of academic and professional experience with 14.5% being from premier institutions such as IITs, NITs, IISERs, IIITs and IIMs.

The class maintains a balanced academic composition with 55.5% students from engineering backgrounds and 44.5% of students from disciplines such as commerce, science, humanities, law, healthcare and management. This blend strives to foster diverse viewpoints and encourages group problem-solving in the class.

They contribute an average of 23 months of work experience in industries like IT, engineering, BFSI, retail and healthcare to the learning environment bringing with them practical perspectives.

Prof. Ram Kumar Kakani who is the director at IIM Raipur reiterating the need for diversity in management studies observed that combining analytical and human thinking results in improved decision-making and enables students to become ethically and strategically sound leaders of today's complex world.

This fresh intake signals the start of a two-year transformational journey in leadership, innovation and inclusive growth.
