IIM Raipur Hosts AACSB Accreditation Workshop to Improve Learning and Curriculum

The workshop was led by Dr. Geoff Perry who is the Executive VP and also AACSB international Chief Officer along with Shri Prathap Das who is Regional Head for South Asia. Dr Perry presented international perspectives on accreditation and Shri Das spoke about the challenges and opportunities of South Asia.
All faculty members attended the sessions to gain a better insight into AACSB standards and best global practices. The talks were on becoming more student-centred in teaching, setting clear learning objectives and reviewing and refining the curriculum regularly to align with IIM Raipur's mission.
Director-in-Charge at IIM Raipur, Prof. Sanjeev Prashar mentioned that the workshop made it easier for the faculty to see education as an ongoing process of reflection and progress. He further mentioned that the institute has a goal of developing academically sound, globally inclined and socially responsible leaders. The AACSB accreditation, he mentioned, will enhance the quality of education and increase global associations.
The sessions also touched on systematic documentation, stakeholder engagement and data driven evaluation. The faculty members also explored methods for assessing important skills like analytical thinking, digital proficiency, communication and ethics.
In launching this initiative IIM Raipur has reasserted its mission towards innovation in curriculum development, research and pedagogy. The institute seeks to relate learning outcomes to industry demands, enhance global applicability and enhance academic rigour to develop responsible managers for the globalised world.
This workshop is an example of IIM Raipur's ongoing commitment to excellence, internationalisation and preparedness to attain AACSB International accreditation.
