IIM Jammu Holds a Grand Valedictory Ceremony to End Staff Training Program Align and Aspire

The Indian Institute of Management Jammu concluded its 3 day Staff Training Program name “Align and Aspire”, with a grand valedictory function on 9th July 2025. The project was conducted between July 7th to July 9th, 2025. The aim of this program is to enhance institutional capacity through the alignment of employees with the Institute's foundational values, enhanced professional abilities and the development of a collaborative culture of operational excellence.

IIM Jammu Holds a Grand Valedictory Ceremony to End Staff Training Program Align and Aspire

The valedictory function of the training program was organised on 9th July, 2025 at Vivekananda Classroom where Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director IIM Jammu was present.

The following guests attended the ceremony: 

  • Professor Ravij Seth who is the Professor of Practice in IIM Jammu

  • Dr. Harsha Jariwala who is the Co-Chairperson of Student Affairs in IIM Jammu

  • Professor Jabir Ali who is Faculty and Research Dean of IIM Jammu

  • Professor Nitin Upadhyay, Academic Dean of IIM Jammu

  • Librarian in IIM Jammu Shri Shailesh K. Lohiya; Cmdr. Kesavan Baskkaran, CAO of IIM Jammu 

  • Prof. Shyam Narayan Lal, Chairperson of Anandam and Media and Communication Division

IIM Jammu Director, Prof. B.S. Sahay said that human beings are the real pillars of an institution and stressed the importance of empowering staff to be productive contributors instead of being mere executors.

Dean Faculty and Research of IIM Jammu Prof. Jabir Ali said in the Align and Aspire program reinforced a common vision and was instrumental in bridging individual competence with the Institute's core objectives.

Dean Academics of IIM Jammu Prof. Nitin Upadhyay said that high-performing institutions have talented and motivated teams and this initiative was a small step towards building team spirit, skill development and responsibility.

Members of the Align and Aspire training programme shared their views at the valedictory function, thanking the organisers for the program's framework, applicability and effectiveness. Most employees appreciated gaining a clearer perspective on institutional practices, improving people-to-people interactions and gaining a greater sense of responsibility and engagement.

The program is divided into two parts. Phase 1 participants stay on campus for the duration of the course to ensure full participation. Employee experience sharing, team building and cross-functional learning were also opportunities provided by the workshops.

Thanking all of the organisers, facilitators and attendees, the event concluded by showcasing IIM Jammu's commitment to establishing an administrative environment that is responsive, effective and growth-focused through programs like Align and Aspire.
