IIM Calcutta And Emeritus To Develop An AI-Driven Marketing Program

IIM Calcutta and Emeritus have partnered to develop a new strategic marketing curriculum due to the rapidly transforming marketing environment. The program is called "Strategic Marketing for Leaders: Leveraging AI for Growth". The program is of 18-week executive education program. It hopes to equip professionals with key skills in Generative AI, analytics and customer-growth approaches.

The course is designed for professionals from numerous industries such as retail, FMCG, tech, e-commerce and media who are looking to lead AI-led marketing campaigns. The participants will be able to blend classic marketing constructs with today's data analytics and AI using interactive simulations and live case studies from some of the world's leading brands such as Nike and Apple.

The program will start on 30th June, 2025. It will be available in an online mode for graduates and diploma holders (10+2+3). Participants scoring a minimum of 65 % will obtain a Certificate of Completion from IIM Calcutta, backed by its Triple Crown certification (AMBA, EQUIS and AACSB). The enrolment cost is ₹ 1,30,000 including GST.

Prof. Saravana Jaikumar of IIM Calcutta leads the program, which blends recorded asynchronous sessions with online live classes. Avnish Singhal, Executive Vice President and Head of India & APAC at Emeritus, said that This program empowers professionals to apply AI-based tools and data-led strategies to develop effective marketing campaigns, fuel growth and lead confidently in a growing digital-first world.

Estimates put 70% of Indian CEOs as the ones who are of the view that Generative AI would make a huge difference to company value creation and delivery, specifically in customised marketing and customer experience. The course is designed to enhance mid-to senior-level professionals from marketing, digital strategy, consulting and allied functions with practical, hands-on knowledge.


Applicants will be guided through an extensive curriculum comprising predictive analytics, Generative AI, omnichannel marketing and customer journey mapping, all of which are vital elements of contemporary marketing strategies. As the increasing significance of artificial intelligence elevates this program to a new level in marketing education, it is poised to empower professionals with the knowledge and tools necessary to thrive within a digital-first world.
