IIM Bangalore opens PGPEM admission for 2025 by CAT, GMAT, GRE and IIMB test on October 12 and February 1
IIM Bangalore also offers two year PGPEM weekend programmes for working individuals which result in a MBA degree. The institute shortlists applicants for the weekend course by administering its own entrance exam.
Candidates who pass the IIMB exam and have a valid CAT, GMAT or GRE score will also be taken into consideration for admission to PGPEM.
According to the QS Executive MBA World University Rankings 2025 IIM Bangalore PGPEM stands at position 50 globally and has been ranked number one in India for the executive MBA program.
IIM Bangalore PGPEM Eligibility
Applicants must have a bachelor's degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks or an equivalent Cumulative Grade Point Average. The reserve category applicants, i.e. SC, ST and PwD must have at least 45% in the qualifying examination.
As of March 31, 2026 candidates must have worked full-time for at least six years. Work experience will not include internships or part-time jobs completed while enrolled in a term of study.
Individuals without a bachelor's degree who have earned their CA, ICWA or CS after completing their Class 12 will also be taken into consideration. The cutoff marks for these exams are still 50% for the general category and 45% for the reserved category.
IIMB Test 2025 Fee Details
The applicants for the IIM Bangalore PGP entrance examination need to fill out an application and pay the corresponding registration fee.
A nonrefundable application fee of ₹ 1500 and an entrance exam fee of ₹ 1200 must be paid by applicants.
IIM Bangalore application and admission process
The application form for IIM Bangalore exam 1 has to be submitted by October 8. The IIMB test round 2 application form will be available from October 10 to January 20. The following documents must be uploaded by candidates when completing the IIM Bangalore PGPEM application form.
SSC, HSC and Bachelor's Degree
Graduation degree certificate
GMAT or GRE scorecard (if required)
Statement of purpose (detailing your achievements and future plans)
Letters from work experience and first and last payslips (with the date of joining)
SC, ST, NC-OBC and EWS certificates (if required).
Persons with disabilities need a disability certificate relevant to their disability.
Applicants are required to furnish two reference letters. The applicant's work environment or the person who can assess their performance on the job is the better choice for a reference letter. According to the notification references must be provided online by the referees themselves by the deadline for application submission.
Shortlisting will be done by IIM Bangalore based on the entrance exam scores. Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed in the second stage. The dates of the first round of interviews are November 8 and 9 and the dates of the second round are February 14 and 15.
