IIM Bangalore and SAIL Sign Two-Year Agreement on Executive Education
As per the accord, IIM Bangalore will offer a combination of open enrolment and customised program, with emphases on leadership, strategy and innovation. The courses will integrate academic education with practical application and action-oriented elements to help participants transfer classroom learning into a business context.
Parthasarathy S, Chief Programme Officer and Shambhavi Rao, Senior Manager Executive Education, IIM Bangalore welcomed the audience and gave an overview of the partnership's goals before the conference began. Padmini Srinivasan, Chairperson, Executive Education, emphasised the institute's tie up with SAIL from 2017 when the steelmaker had introduced an executive education curriculum.
Dinesh Kumar, IIMB Director In Charge, said that the connections between top institutions and public-sector companies were imperative to groom future leaders. He added In addition to classroom learnings we eagerly await creating case studies and knowledge resources that capture the distinct challenges and achievements of SAIL.
K. K. Singh, Board Member and Director of SAIL, said The partnership would provide company executives the room to ponder challenges in the industry and enhance their capability to compete in an ever-evolving global market.
The collaboration will further use a systematic learning needs analysis methodology to develop curricula responsive to SAIL's requirements. Opportunities to allow faculty conducted workshops, research partnerships, consulting projects and the production of case studies based on the company's organisational experience are planned.
