Candidates need to thoroughly read all of the information after downloading. In case of a mistake, they should immediately contact AIMA for rectification. It is advisable to take several printouts of the admit card and keep one for later use.

On the day of the exam, applicants need to carry a copy of their admit card printed and valid proof of picture ID, i.e., Aadhaar card, PAN card, voter ID card or driving license. Candidates won't be permitted to enter the exam centre unless they carry their admit card and proof of ID.

The candidates must report at the exam centre at least 90 minutes prior to the reported time to avoid last-minute stress. Late arrival is generally not allowed, hence punctuality is the key.  They are required to follow all instructions given by the invigilators in the centre.

Electronic gadgets like mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators and other unfair aids are strictly not allowed in the exam centre. The candidates should keep their attire minimal, without any accessories or metal items, in order to avoid delay at the time of security checks.

During the examination, candidates have to properly mark the answer sheet and follow the grading procedures. Disqualification may result from any kind of wrongdoing or cheating.

Candidates should submit their answer sheets to the invigilator before exiting the exam hall.  They should not remove any examination material from the hall.

  • Only some rough work needs to be done on the Question Booklet. No extra sheets will be utilised for rough work or supplied.

  • Scores are calculated by machine reading the UGAT Answer Sheet. For the accurate scoring of the answer sheets, examinees must mark accurately and erase thoroughly.  Proper scoring demands strict adherence to the following points:

  • Responses keyed in question booklets will not be scored.

  • Mark your answers on the answer sheet given separately. Choose the correct option and completely blacken the oval/circle which is (1), (2), (3) or (4) opposite the appropriate question number.

  • Fill in the answer sheet with a blue/black ballpoint pen. To avoid inconsistent readings from the scanner, do not darken more than one oval for a question.

  • A definitive response to a question is indicated by a darkened oval. Once the answer choice has been darkened, it cannot be changed. The answer sheets should not be torn, bent or otherwise damaged.

  • Make sure all identification and question booklets are correctly labelled.

  • Don't panic if your response sheet has extra space but questions in booklet are few.

  • Give the invigilator the Question Booklet and Answer Sheet following the test.

  • Calculators, pagers and mobile devices are not permitted in the test room.

  • The admit card of the candidates will be stamped while taking the test. Part of your admit card will be given back to you as a confirmation of attending the test. Make sure this is properly signed by candidates and the invigilator.

  • The candidate can exit the test room once the test is over, but only if the invigilator allows.

  • To exit the room while taking an exam, first ask the invigilator for permission.  Candidates cannot make up lost time.
