A Harvard Business School expert participates in a worldwide learning program hosted by IIM Sambalpur

The conference provided participants with direct experience of the Harvard case teaching method through interactive discussions, live case studies and group exercises. The workshops explored the advantages and disadvantages of case based teaching, strategies for developing relevant questions and effective ways of conducting productive classroom discussions.
A special highlight was exploring how generative AI can assist with class preparation from creating discussion plans and alternative case scenarios to offering smart analytics for achieving learning outcomes. Teachers also learnt how AI tools can enhance teaching effectiveness from decision-making to leveraging intelligent analytics for improved learning results. The initiative encouraged active participation, free discussion of ideas and action-oriented activities which challenged participants to reflect on how to lead, teach and learn in the current changing world.
The two-day session was led by Thomas D. Casserly, Jr. (Professor of Business Administration at Harvard Business School) and Prof. V.G. Narayanan (Senior Associate Dean, Executive Education, Harvard Business School Online). The team also included Priyamvada Saraswat (Senior Research & Sales Support Specialist, Harvard Business Impact Enterprise), Rahul Roy (Strategic Relationship Manager, Harvard Business Publishing) and Dviwesh Mehta (Director, South Asia and Middle East, Higher Education, Harvard Business Publishing).
